The ancient theater of Dodoni was built by King Pyrrhus of Epirus in the 3rd century BC. It is one of the largest in ancient Greece with a capacity of about 17,500 spectators. The archaeological site is one of the most important in the whole country in a landscape of unparalleled natural beauty.
Located at the foot of Mount Tomaros, 15 km southwest of Ioannina in the valley next to the homonymous village, it is accessible by the Egnatia highway.
