Flegga Lakes are two small alpine lakes almost at the top of Mount Mavrovouni in the Valia Calda National Park. They are located at an altitude of 1950 meters and are a popular destination for hikers. The lakes have water all year round and in their waters live various amphibians such as Tritus alpestris and frogs (Bombina variegate, Rana graeca). Access to the lakes is only possible on foot. An easy trail, lasting about 2 hours, starts from the shelter of Lake Aoos springs while for the more experienced one, a beautiful trail is from Arkoudorema in the core of Valia Calda lasting about 5 hours.
