Acheron River and Souli Jeep tour

Overview

A day trip to the underworld. Contrary to what comes to your mind, the place where Charon transported the souls to the underworld is one of the most enchanting places in Greece. Explore the springs of the Acheron River, walk in the river and enjoy the crystal clear waters accompanied by our experienced guide.
The wandering continues to the Heroic mountains of Souli, where we will hike to the castle of Kiafa and explore the mills of Souli. Our excursion ends with a traditional meal in the village of Souli.

Description

Our first stop is at the Nekromanteio of Acheron, where we will explore the Ancient Temple where people communicated with the dead in ancient times to learn about their future.

Then we will head to the springs of the Acheron river, where we will put on our swimsuits, wander in the river gorge, and walk as much as we wish. Of course, we will also have time to swim in the river.

Our next stop is the historic Souli and the Souli mills, where we will enjoy a coffee or soft drink, then head to the castle of Kiafa, where we will hike for 30 minutes.

There we will enjoy the incredible view towards the Acheron river and learn the history of Souli, which never surrendered to the Ottomans until 1804.

Finally, we will visit a traditional restaurant where we will enjoy recipes with local products, and after enjoying our meal, we will return.
