Tzoumerka Adventure Off-Road & Cooking Experience
Overview
Explore the mountains of Tzoumerka, the dragon lake Verlinga and the traditional stone-built villages of Syrrako and Kipina’s monastery. An off-road adventure that includes exploring the peaks of Mt. Lakmos, a guided tour of the history of the traditional villages of Tzoumerka, a visit to beautiful natural landscapes and a cooking experience in nature with traditional recipes and local products.
Description
Our excursion starts in the direction of Tzoumerka and specifically the Kipina monastery, a separate and unique monastery built on a steep rock.
Then, we continue a little further, reaching the beginning of the path to the waterfalls of Kouiassa. We will walk to the waterfalls, and whoever wants to can dive into the crystal clear waters of the Kalarritikos river. Then we can enjoy our coffee and a snack in the small cafe in the forest.
We continue to Syrrako, where we will wander through the narrow streets and explore the village and its attractions.
From Syrrako begins our wandering towards the peaks of Mt. Lakmos. On our way, we will explore the dragon lake of Verlinga, cook on the mountaintops with a view of the city and the lake of Ioannina from above, and enjoy the magical landscape of the high mountains of Pindos.
Finally, our route will end at Egnatia highway, where we will return.
